marksearch team

marksearch, a wife-husband team, creates interactive projects inviting people to reflect upon their local communities, consider healthy alternatives to driving, and increase awareness of the natural environment within the urban fabric. Previous national and international research projects addressed the definitions of city centers and landmarks, post-communist urban transformation, and local community history. Our projects examine assumptions, thoughts and questions through dialog. Our participant-driven projects promote independent thinking and create a platform from which any individual can offer an opinion, by which each individual is an expert of her experience. These projects, while creative and aesthetic, rely on an accessible format based on daily life. We want to push the boundaries of how community-based art can influence public policy.
